Troop 2 is run by volunteers — parents, alumni, and members of our chartered organization who give their time so scouts can lead.
Scoutmaster
Ron Litsheim
Works directly with the scouts, coaches youth leaders, and guides the troop's program week to week.
Committee Chair
Brian Smits
Leads the troop committee, which handles finances, advancement records, equipment, and charter renewal.
Activities Coordinator
Paul Shrode
Plans the monthly outing calendar, campouts, and troop activities throughout the year.
Secretary
Brian Schwartz
Keeps troop records and meeting minutes, and helps communication flow to scouts and families.
Treasurer
Neal O'Connell
Manages troop accounts, scout accounts, fundraising proceeds, and registration dues.
Summer Camp
Gary Holz
Coordinates summer camp registration, merit badge sign-ups, and logistics for the week.
Chartered Organization Rep
Paul Shrode
Represents the Kiwanis Club — Appleton-Fox Cities, our chartered organization, with the troop and council.

Every registered adult leader completes Boy Scouts of America youth protection training and a background check before working with scouts. There is a place for every level of commitment, from driving to a campout to serving on the committee year-round.
